UNICEF

Agenda Item:  Measures to be taken in order to prevent child trafficking and child labor in warzones and exploited countries around the globe.

UNICEF, as the primary UN body responsible for the protection and well being of children, plays a crucial role in addressing the escalating risks of child trafficking and child labor in warzones and exploited regions across the globe. In areas destabilized by conflict, poverty, and displacement, children face heightened vulnerability to abduction, forced labor, recruitment by armed groups, and exploitation due to weakened legal systems and collapsed social services. Delegates of SONKALMUN’26 are expected to work collaboratively to design effective, right based measures that strengthen child protection systems, expand safe access to education and humanitarian assistance, support families economically to reduce reliance on child labor, improve cross border cooperation to dismantle trafficking networks, and ensure that children in crisis zones receive immediate and long term protection, enabling them to reclaim safety, dignity, and a chance at a stable future.
